Prince George started school just a few weeks ago, and he’s already so over it. His father, Prince William, told a “fellow parent” on Tuesday that, though the four-year-old has only been a student for about three weeks, he is no longer psyched about attending Thomas’s Battersea.
Louise Smith, a 31-year-old mother of two, told reporters, “It was really exciting meeting William.” She continued, “He told me he’d just dropped Prince George off at school and he didn’t want to go. Sounds a bit like mine, really.” (William reportedly said hello to both of Smith’s daughters—a three-year-old and a one-year-old—during his visit to Milton Keynes.) William himself had predicted that this might end up being the case, explaining on George’s first day, “We are all seeing how long that lasts before he doesn’t want to go.”
And is it really so hard to blame Prince George for already being sick of the routine, the school lunches, the uniforms? This is a kid who has toured Australia and Canada, who has met Barack Obama while wearing a bathrobe, who had a sophisticated understanding of the world at an extremely young age. He lives in a palace! George, we get it.
